Byng Giraud, Ladner Resident
Byng is currently employed with an industry association in a senior communications and policy position. Prior to that Byng served as a senior public affairs consultant with a number of top Canadian consultancies. During this time Byng gained considerable experience in issues management, community relations and community outreach. Byng has had the pleasure of working for government in the past at the national and provincial levels, serving in senior advisory roles to provincial MLAs, federal MPs, Senators and with the BC Ministers of Environment and Agriculture. Byng is also active in his community serving as a member of the Municipality of Delta's Environment Advisory Committee. Volunteer interests include serving as a Director of Geosciences British Columbia. Byng has a B.A. from the University of Victoria, an M.Sc.Econ.from the University of Wales at Aberystwyth and a MBA, specializing in risk management, from the University of Cambridge. He is married to Alison, who has lived in Ladner most of her life. They have two children.
