unsafe driving along deltaport way
I frequently drive on deltaport way and am very concerned about the number of trucks using the hwy during daytime hours.
This past week the shoulder has been filled with trucks all with their wheels over the shoulder line as well as driving while on the shoulder. As a driver i did not know if they were driving on the road or parked on the shoulder so should I pass or not? Also the lane with trucks leaving the port was also filled creating a very dangerous situation.
What action will be taken with regards to this situation as well as trucks on the shoulder of highway 17.
Stopping on a shoulder is for an emergency situation not to wait for your turn at the port.
Truck Traffic
Hi Ellen. The situation that you speak of has been discussed within the committee and with operators of the terminal. Gate processing upgrades have been initiated and although the problem has not been solved it is getting better.
